Best In The World

What is the best country in the world? That's a question US News and World Report set out to answer. And they did. So, here we will look at the ranking of the 50 best countries in the world.

Methodology

Before we get into it, it's probably a good idea to give you a quick look at the methodology they used to come up with their ranking. It includes over 70 attributes divided up into 10 main categories (weighted as a percentage of the total rank):

Movers (16.58%): different, distinctive, dynamic, unique.

Quality of Life (13.21%): job market, affordable, economically stable, family-friendly, well-developed public education system, well-developed public health system, etc.

Entrepreneurship (12.91%): connected to the rest of the world, educated population, entrepreneurial, innovative, skilled labor force, technological expertise, well-developed infrastructure, etc.

Agility (12.65%): adaptable, dynamic, modern, progressive, responsive.

Social Purpose (12.53%): cares about human rights, cares about the environment, gender equality, religious freedom, well-distributed political power, racial equity, committed to climate goals, etc.

Open for Business (9.65%): cheap manufacturing costs, favorable tax environment, transparent government practices, etc.

Cultural Influence (9.30%): culturally significant in terms of entertainment, fashionable, happy, has an influential culture, has strong consumer brands, modern, etc.
